The Monsoon Song
Poem · by Aanya · Class 3 · Greenfield Public School, Pune
Tap, tap, tap on the window pane,…
Tap, tap, tap on the window pane,
The sky has sent us silver rain.
Puddles shine like mirrors bright,
Paper boats sail out of sight.
The frogs begin their evening choir,
The peacock dances, feathers on fire.
Mud and mango, smell so sweet,
Rain-washed leaves beneath my feet.
