A little boy let go of his red balloon, and it floated up past the rooftops.
A little boy let go of his red balloon, and it floated up past the rooftops. He watched it until it was a tiny dot. A girl on a distant terrace caught it and held it up with a big smile. The boy could not see her, but he waved anyway. Maybe, he thought, a gift can be lost and still make someone happy.
