A grandfather, a telescope and a very bright planet.
Aditya's grandfather had an old brass telescope that nobody used. "Let us look at Saturn," he said one evening.
They climbed to the terrace. It took a long time to find the planet, because the telescope was heavy and the wind was tricky. Aditya wanted to give up.
"Patience," smiled Grandpa. "The sky does not hurry." At last Aditya saw it: a tiny golden ball with a thin ring.
He gasped. Grandpa said, "People looked at the same planet with this same telescope fifty years ago." Aditya felt connected to the past and the future. That night he decided to become an astronomer.
