Why Gandhi Jayanti Matters to Me
Article · by Zoya · Class 6 · Coral Bay School, Visakhapatnam
A story about saying sorry first.
On Gandhi Jayanti, our teacher asked, "What can you do for peace?" I thought about my little brother. We fight over the remote every day.
So I decided to try Gandhiji's idea of patience. When my brother grabbed the remote, I did not shout. I said, "Let's take turns." He looked surprised, and then he smiled.
It was a small thing, but our home felt peaceful. Now I understand why a small act of peace can be very powerful.
