Archaeologists found jars of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that were still safe to eat after thousands of years.

Archaeologists found jars of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that were still safe to eat after thousands of years. Honey has very little water and is slightly acidic, so germs cannot grow in it. Bees also add a special substance that protects the honey. So if your honey becomes thick and sugary, do not throw it away. Just warm it gently and it turns smooth again.

Reported by Myra, Class 6, Pearl Bay School, Visakhapatnam (young reporter).
